The Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (MASDAR), in conjunction with Seychelles Government is currently constructing a wind farm in the island of Mahé, Seychelles. The project started in 2010 with a wind resource assessment to assess the wind potential and determine the best site. The study also included an Environment Impact Assessment. The main goal of the project is to address energy security, reduce dependence on imported fossil fuel and diversify energy mix.
